One continuous pursuit of a better salon business.

Computill, iSalon and Salon Manager are three chapters in the same specialist story. As client expectations, technology and salon operations changed, the software changed with them, while its focus remained firmly on the realities of running hair, beauty, barbering, spa, clinic, college and multi-location businesses.

Built to keep moving

Every generation solved the next challenge for salons

Salon businesses moved from paper diaries and isolated desktop systems to online booking, automated client communication, connected payments, live reporting and central oversight. Each generation of our software was created to help teams use those changes with confidence, without losing sight of the client experience.

The journey behind Salon Manager

Three generations that moved salon management forward

1993

Computill

Computill arrived in 1993 as an installed Windows application, giving salons a practical way to move beyond manual systems and bring appointments, client information and everyday business activity into one digital workspace.

It marked the start of a long-term commitment to helping salon teams organise the day more clearly and run the business with better information.

1999

iSalon

iSalon took that foundation further in 1999. Still delivered as an installed Windows application, it introduced more advanced ways to connect the diary, client relationships, communications and wider business operations.

It became the working system trusted by independent salons, beauty businesses, growing groups and colleges across the UK.

2023

Salon Manager

Salon Manager brings the experience developed through Computill and iSalon into a modern cloud platform designed around the pace, expectations and commercial demands of today’s salon businesses.

It gives salons, spas, clinics, barbershops, colleges and groups easier access, regular improvements and connected tools for bookings, clients, payments, stock, marketing and performance.

Innovation that became everyday salon life

Tools that helped salons become more connected

Throughout the iSalon years, new tools helped salons reduce manual work, make booking more convenient and gain a clearer view across the business. Many of the capabilities clients now expect began taking shape during this period.

Keep clients informed with integrated messaging

Made confirmations, reminders and client communication easier to manage from the salon system.

Let clients book beyond opening hours

Gave clients a more convenient way to request and arrange appointments when the salon was closed or the team was busy.

See every location from one central view

Gave groups and multi-site businesses web-based visibility across their locations without relying on separate local views.

Take salon access beyond the front desk

Extended useful salon information beyond the traditional desktop system and made access more flexible.

The move that changed everything

From software on one computer to a business available anywhere

Installed software tied much of the business to a particular computer and local setup. Moving to the cloud created a more flexible way to work, with easier access, connected information and a platform that can keep improving without disruptive local upgrades.

Salon Manager carries more than 30 years of product experience into an environment built for modern access, regular development and the next stage of salon growth.

One specialist lineage

The name changed. The salon focus never did.

Some customers first knew us as Computill. Others built their business on iSalon. Today, that same specialist knowledge continues through Salon Manager, with each generation carrying forward what the team learned from real salons, colleges and groups.
